[DMANET] PhD position in Algorithmic Optimization @ Osnabrück - Getting paid for having fun in Germany's happiest city!

You love algorithms? You devour combinatorics? You have an insatiable
appetite for optimization? You are a freshly baked Master of Science,
looking for a paid PhD position? Then please read on!

We, the Theoretical Computer Science group at Osnabrück University,
are looking for a highly talented and motivated
Research Assistant / PhD student
(full position "Landesstelle", pay grade TV-L 13, 100%)
starting in autumn.

Our research focus is graph algorithms, exact and approximative
combinatorial optimization, graph drawing and Algorithm Engineering.
For this position you should have gained relevant experience through
your Master's thesis in at least one of these fields. The position is
initially limited to three years and includes teaching duties of (at
most) 4 hours/week during the semester.

You should be flexible, reliable, independent, team-oriented and have:
* a Master/diploma in Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field
* experience in algorithms and/or (mathematical) combinatorial
optimization; corresponding Master's thesis
* very good programming skills
* very good English knowledge
