[DMANET] 25 Birmingham Fellowships (permanent positions)

The University of Birmingham is seeking to recruit 25 Birmingham Fellows.

These are prestigious permanent positions, with a probationary period of two years. In addition, these positions have a significantly reduced teaching load for the first five years: there is almost no teaching in the first year, with a gradually increasing load over the next years. At the end of the five years the fellowship is transferred to a position at the appropriate level (Lecturer/Reader), which would be equivalent to an Associate Professorship within the US system. Over 30 fellows were recruited in the 2011 call, there will be no call next year.

Mathematics is one of the priority areas for the call and the department is keen to recruit outstanding candidates in Combinatorics/Discrete Mathematics/Graph Theory.

Information about the fellowship call can be found here:

Information about the department and the Birmingham Combinatorics group can be found here:

The deadline for applications of 27 August 2012.

Informal enquiries about applications in Combinatorics are welcome and can be made to:
Daniela Kuhn (d.kuhn@bham.ac.uk) and Deryk Osthus (d.osthus@bham.ac.uk).
