The School of Computer Sciences at the University of Adelaide has a history
reaching back almost 50 years and has major research strengths in computer vision,
parallel and distributed high performance computing and bio-inspired methods of computation.
The School is home to the highly successful Australian Centre for Visual Technologies, which
is Australia's largest Computer Vision research group and earns over $3m dollars annually in pure,
and industry-supported research income. Our research in the area of Artificial Intelligence
and Image processing has been ranked above world class by the Australian Government
Excellence in Research Australia 2010 benchmarking.

We are seeking an outstanding Computer Scientist to provide discipline leadership, ensuring
the School of Computer Science remains at the leading edge of international research and teaching.

The successful applicant will have a track record of high impact research (as is evidenced by
highly cited publications and by attracting significant research support), in areas related to
the strengths of the School.

This tenurable full time position is available immediately at Level E, $147,603 per annum
plus an employer superannuation contribution of 17% applies.
