Contributed talk abstract submission deadline: April 28.
Deadline for students to apply for travel funding: April 28 (but late
applications will be considered if funds are available)

PROGRAM

The Discrete Math Day will run for 2 days, Friday (May 14) and
Saturday (May 15), and will include six one-hour invited talks by the above
speakers as well as contributed talks.

This year we are reserving the Friday morning for talks on the theme of
"Mathematical Connections". These are talks whose level is suitable for
high school students and the interested public which feature interesting
or unusual connections of mathematics to other subjects and disciplines.
To headline this session we are very pleased to have Jason Brown of
Dalhousie University speak on connections between mathematics and music.

REGISTRATION

We strongly encourage early registration via the Fields Institute web site

Registration fee is $20 for on-line registration and $25 for on-site
registration. Students, postdocs, and invited speakers are exempt.
On-line registration will close on May 1.

FUNDING

We have limityed funds available to cover local expenses for students
and postdoctoral fellows. Applications for student and postdoctoral
funding should be sent to Brett Stevens at brett@math.carleton.ca before
April 28

Deadline for applications: April 28 (but late applications will be
considered if funds are available).

Campus residences are available. Application forms can be found online.
